Mark is President & CEO of Travelers Capital Corporation responsible for managing the operations and transaction teams, as well as overseeing the strategic direction of the company. Mark brings over 30 years of structured and project finance experience in the renewable energy and natural resources industries.
Prior to co-founding Travelers Capital in 2010, Mark held senior level positions with GE Energy Financial Services, BMO, ABN AMRO, UBS and Citibank in Vancouver, Toronto and New York. He has played a key role in the execution of over $7 billion of financing since 1988, including many hydro, wind and solar projects for clients across North America. Mark holds a BSc. (Physics) and an MBA from the University of British Columbia.
Dan is Managing Director of Travelers Capital Corporation responsible for origination and structuring of financing transactions and provision of advisory services to clients across the alternative energy and infrastructure sectors. Dan is based in Toronto and is also Travelers Capital’s business development lead.
Before joining Travelers Capital, Dan was a lawyer practicing from 2011 to 2018 in the Banking and Energy & Infrastructure groups of Torys LLP in Toronto where he advised lenders, sponsors, developers and investors on a wide range of project finance, project development and infrastructure, corporate banking and M&A transactions. At Torys, Dan was responsible for leading negotiation and/or execution of several billion dollars worth of deals as well as providing ongoing legal and strategic business advice to clients at various stages of project development, finance and growth. During that time, he also spent 7 months on secondment as in-house counsel for The Bank of Nova Scotia where, among other functions, he was lead counsel for the bank’s precious and base metals trading and finance group. Dan holds a BA from McGill University and JD from Queen’s University.
Fred joined Travelers Capital Corporation in 2019 as Vice President responsible for originating, structuring and executing structured finance transactions, as well as providing financial advisory services, in the power, renewable energy and infrastructure sectors. Fred is based in Montréal and is Travelers Capital’s representative in the province of Quebec, providing over 15 years of experience in alternative assets, advising public and private sector clients.
Before joining Travelers Capital, Fred was a Director - Finance at Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. where he managed project finance initiatives for the company’s hydro, solar and wind energy investments. Prior to that, Fred worked as a financial advisor at EY and Cosime Infrastructure and Energy where he helped First Nations, communities, private investors, pension funds and public authorities at various stages of project development and finance. Fred holds a BSc. from Laval University and an MBA from HEC Montréal.
Jordan joined Travelers Capital Corporation in 2019 after studying finance at The British Columbia Institute of Technology and obtaining his Canadian Securities Course certification. Jordan assists in all aspects of financing and advisory mandates and takes carriage of most financial modelling duties. Jordan also acts as lead on all of Travelers Capital’s loan and security agent services.
